UPerk

UPerk opened in the fall of 2017 as a self serve coffee shop, open to everyone. We received a grant from Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church making it possible for this dream to come true. UPerk is our gesture of hospitality to UT Knoxville. Folks all across campus come here to study, visit with friends, enjoy some alone time, meet with study groups, hold club meetings, or host small events. We offer fair trade, organic coffee – our own brew, UPerk Blend – in partnership with Vienna Coffeehouse in Maryville, Tennessee as well as a variety of hot teas, hot cocoa and hot apple cider all for just a $1 donation. If you’re low on cash, come on in and get a drink anyway! We also have Venmo and Paypal!

Mission Statement

At UPerk we believe that every person should have a place to be: to be in community, to be at peace, to be studious, and caffeinated, to be safe, to be valued, and to be heard. This community space seeks to embody that vision and, when you’re here, we hope that you can simply be.
